Who We Serve
The Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit legal aid organization that provides free legal information, assistance, and representation in civil legal matters to low-income people. Our services are provided by volunteer attorneys with the help of law students and are supervised by a small staff. Our mission is to provide equal access to justice to those in need.
In the past year, the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County closed 3,724 cases, benefiting 9,200 community members in matters affecting the essentials of life such as housing, family and income maintenance.
